Provinces Nominee Program

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Services

At Precious Immigration Solution, we assist clients in navigating the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), a pathway to permanent residency through individual provinces and territories. Each province has unique streams, targeting skilled workers, international graduates, and in-demand occupations. With enhanced quotas for Express Entry and tailored programs, the PNP is an ideal option for those looking to establish their future in Canada.

What is the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)?

The Provincial Nominee Program allows Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who want to settle in a specific region. Each province receives an annual quota from the Federal Government to nominate a certain number of applicants through both the Base Stream (non-Express Entry) and Enhanced Stream (aligned with Express Entry).

After a successful nomination through the Enhanced Stream, candidates receive an additional 600 points in their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, nearly guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.

PNP Quotas: Base vs. Enhanced Streams

Every year, provinces receive a specific quota from the Federal Government, which determines how many candidates they can nominate. Each province manages its quotas between two main streams:

  • Base Stream: For candidates who are not in the Express Entry pool. Applications are processed directly by the province, and successful nominees can apply for permanent residency outside of the Express Entry system.
  • Enhanced Stream: Aligned with the Federal Express Entry system. Once nominated, candidates are awarded 600 additional CRS points, which significantly boosts their Express Entry profile, leading to an ITA.

While specific quotas may vary yearly, most provinces have both Base and Enhanced allocations. Contact us for up-to-date quota details for each province.

Provincial Streams: Tailored for Your Profile

Each province has designed specific immigration streams to meet local labor market demands. These streams cater to various groups, such as:

  • International Students: Many provinces offer nomination programs for international graduates who have studied in the province.
  • Skilled Workers: Streams are available for candidates with job offers in highly skilled or specialized occupations.
  • In-Demand Occupations: Several provinces have streams for low-skilled workers in industries facing labor shortages, such as agriculture, manufacturing, and transportation.
  • Entrepreneurs: Some provinces offer pathways for investors and business owners looking to start or buy a business in the province.

Points-Based Expression of Interest (EOI) System

Most provinces have adopted a points-based Expression of Interest (EOI) system to rank applicants based on various factors, including:

  • Age
  • Level of education
  • Language proficiency (English/French)
  • Canadian work experience

Provinces also award additional points for candidates who have:

  • Studied in the province: International students may receive bonus points for having completed a program in the province.
  • Family support: Applicants with relatives residing in the province may receive extra points.
  • Job offers: Provinces prioritize candidates with valid job offers, especially from employers in regional areas or in high-demand occupations.
  • In-demand occupations: Specific occupations that are in high demand within the province may yield additional points, enhancing your chances of receiving a nomination.
